My weekend happenings

My weekend consisted of family and a failed BBQ. My daughter and her hubby came down for the weekend and it was a great visit as always. My daughter Katerina helped my Saturday for the BBQ to help promote my business. Im already jumping around..lol. Friday started out with me going to work at 530 in morning and getting off at 130. Rushed to the party place and picked up the table and chairs I needed for the weekend. Then rushed home as Timewarner cable was coming to downgrade my services for me. While I waited I seasoned the fajita meat, and the chicken for the k-bobs and made up the fruit k-bobs. In the middle of this the cable company finally shows up. Then after they leave my daughter gets there later in the evening. I got everything put prepped and ready to go. Katerina talked my ear off. lol  But it was so good to see her.

We woke up the next morning about 7 and got ready to go. We got set up and everything seemed to be going well. Had several customers the minute I was ready to go. Then shortly after lunch the police showed up to check everyone's permits. Well me and one other were the only ones who had our permits. They made everyone else leave or they would ticket them. So needless to say the BBQ was no more after that. No business at all. So upset and hot from being out there in the heat I packed up. banged my head in the process and got things in the car to go. Got to my moms house and as upset as I was I sat at the table and cried. I had high hopes for the weekend to bring in enough money to hold me over, but alas that wasn't to be had. I was also hoping to get the word out about my bakery. again a no go. So I wont be going out again to BBQ for while if ever. We had dinner with mom and put away all the food when I got home that didn't get sold. I figured I would just put the meat away and freeze it so I will use it to make tamales for my daughters baby shower. I made ice cream cone cupcakes, and my daughter decorated them. now she is no decorator but they are cute at any rate.

The next day we spent the day at my moms house. I came home about 6pm and got myself ready for work on Monday. I have had a headache since Saturday evening and I still went to work. So ready for sleep. Will be working on a few things and will post them as I get them done. Take care all
