Cakes

Since I last posted it has been crazy. This last few weeks have been full. I did a baby shower cake for my daughter which turned out beautiful. My daughter is due to have Ciara in a few weeks. not long after that my son in law will deploy to Egypt. My grandbaby will not know her daddy till he comes home this time next year. But I digress. We had the baby shower for my daughter on June 23rd. It turned out to be a great day.

Those that came enjoyed themselves and I enjoyed seeing my baby girl smile. After the shower my mom, step dad, grandbaby and I drove back to Austin. I got ready to do another cake. It was a castle cake. I haven't done one since kay was 6 yrs old. It was hit altho I could tell the heat was melting my cake. The joys of making cakes in Texas heat. I also made cupcakes and a small birthday cake on Wednesday for my niece for school and then for there dinner that night. She shared her cake with a friend who's birthday was also Wednesday.

Im so glad that it was enjoyed. This past week I have been in a cake decorating class for work but I have some ideas that will help me in my business outside of work. So that is a good thing. I honestly wish I could do my business full time. It is what it is right. I also am running a giveaway for those that have liked my facebook page. I will draw the winner tomorrow night. The winner gets 2 dozen cupcakes and cookies. I will decorate in a patriotic theme or they can use them for another occasion. Its up to them when they want to receive them.

For now we are waiting the arrival of the newest addition of the family CIARA. I so cant wait to hold my granddaughter. it will be a joyous day indeed. For now I want to wish all of you a very Happy 4th of July. Take this time to tell all the soldiers past and present THANK YOU for all they do. They don't get time with family today. They are being deployed into harms way. And don't forget those that help keep you safe here in the states.
